    SaaS hosters

    hello all . . . . .

Can anyone provide me with a viewpoint on SaaS hosters in the market? (I read the blog by Jeff . . looking for a bit more detail including contact points). I am operating mainly within the UK currently, however it is imperative that 'the partner' can provide 24/7 service and has a 'true' global operation as we will be extending the business into a global volume market. Having worked with many hosters before, I would appreciate some independant feedback with real merit that has been derived from working with a hosting partner who specialises in SaaS. As always time is of the essence, I have existing customers that require moving immediately, funds are in place for expansion and I have deadlines to hit  . . . . . expert guidance most appreciated.

     Kind regards

    Re: SaaS hosters

    Hi,

I guess the answer to your question depends on a couple of things...

    • What sort of application are you wanting to present, web-based or requireing Terminal Services?
    • Is the location of the hoster relevant more to you or your customers (I'm thinking in terms of access and local peering etc.)?
    • How do you want to charge for it, per user, per org, direct, reseller?
    • Is the application something that can be deployed automatically or does it require tailoring per customer?

There are a number of hosters inthe UK that can fulfill some of these requirements and it may be a question of getting the best for you, for now (given the early phase nature of this) and looking at portability to allow a move later.

Sorry to bombard you with a bunch of questions like this! :) But hopefully we can use this to find who you need.

    J.

If you have to do it more than twice, create a template, then have someone else do it!
